The university was set up by the Rajasthan government under Ordinance 6 of 2007 and holds recognition from the UGC under Sec. 2f. Singhania University owes its inception to the vision of Smt. Narmada Devi Singhanaia, mother of founder Shri D.C. Singhania. It was inaugurated on 21st Oct 2007 by philanthropist Shri D.C. Singhania with the aim of providing top-notch education reflecting the latest educational and research advancements.
